Lake McQueeney

Day 4 and 5

We headed to Lake McQueeney, Texas. We stayed at our friends' relatives' lake house. It was wonderful. The weather was great for jet skiing, swimming, paddle-boating, bean bag tossing, and grilling out! What a relaxing couple of days.

San Antonio Vacation

Day 2
Sunday School and Pumpkin Patch

Sunday morning we caught up with our friends from Sunday school. After church, we went to the pumpkin patch in Medina, TX. We started off with lots of picture taking in the pumpkins. All the girls wore cute candy corn tee-shirts, thanks to Miss Terry! They were all adorable. We headed off to the concession stand for burgers, homeade apple ice cream, and caramel apples. Everything was delicious. The girls also painted pumpkins, petted ducklings, and climbed a tree! We ended the day with some great Texas BBQ!

San Antonio Vacation

Day 1

This morning we were on the plane at 6:00 am heading for San Antonio! We were all very excited. We arrived at 10:00 and the day was just beginning. The girls were so excited to see each other. They played and played. Kim went to the Texas/Missouri football game and had too much fun. We had a delicious Olive Garden dinner prepared at home by Terry. I think she cooked it better than Olive Garden, so I am going to have to get those recipes!

Sweet Sisters

This morning after breakfast I turned on Sesame Street for the girls. They crawled up on the couch and snuggled up. I had to grab my camera quick because you never know how long these moments may last.

Wednesday Night Entertainment

On Wednesday nights, Kim has been playing some music at City Beverage's Open Mike Night. Usually I am home with the girls, but this week we decided to get a babysitter so I could go listen. I had a great time catching up with Kim's co-workers. Kim played for about 20 minutes and did a great job! Maybe he will be ready for American Idol by next year! :)

RDU Observation Deck

This morning we had playgroup at the airport. They have a small park and runway along with the observation deck. We had a great time watching planes take off and land while eating a picnic lunch. The girls also took the scooter and push toy, and pretended to take off while running down the runway.

Anna Claire is getting pretty good at taking pictures!

Camping at Jordan Lake

Saturday morning we packed up the car and headed to the lake for a camp out with friends. The weather was perfect! We had a great time hiking through the woods, fishing in the lake, building a campfire, and roasting some hot dogs and marshmallows. The girls absolutely loved being outside.

A Nice Surprise!

Thursday morning my mom called and said they were coming on Friday. We were all so excited! Anna Claire could hardly wait! They got here Friday night around 9:00 and the fun began. They could hardly get in the door before the girls were running circles around them asking to play hide and seek. We finally got everyone settled down and to bed so we could get up for more fun on Saturday.

We went to the farmers market and Foster's for brunch on Saturday morning. On the way home, we stopped and Grandaddy got Anna Claire a big girl swing! She loves it. The afternoon was spent playing outside, watching some football, and grilling steaks. Gran and I went shopping for just a little while and found Tinkerbell costumes for the girls. If Anna Claire wasn't swinging she was flying around the house as Tinkerbell. She can't wait until the new movie is out.

Sunday we went to the pumpkin patch and played some more.

This morning we were sad to see them go, but looking forward to their next visit for Thanksgiving!

Ballerina Please

When I was getting Anna Claire ready for dance this afternoon Gracie found her leotard. She wanted to wear it so bad! It was so funny after I put it on her, she kept pointing to her legs and whining. I didn't have another pair of tights so we just had to go without. But she loved wearing her ballet shoes and leotard just like big sister! Next year I guess we will have two in dance.

Pigtails!

Anna Claire saw a little girl with pigtails and said, "I wish my hair would look like that." So we had our first pigtails today. She kept looking in the mirror at herself. She loved it!
