Raining again! David had to go to work this morning so the girls and I laid around at his apartment. We were ready for a break. He got off at lunch and we headed to Potbelly's for sandwiches. Then we went to Lego Land and the Disney Store. This evening we had dinner at a great Italian restaurant, Rosebud. Anna Claire wasn't feeling great the first day when we went to the Hershey Factory, so we stopped by here again to get her a cupcake on the way home. We had a great trip even with all the rain.

Chicago Day 3

Yay! No rain today, but it sure was cold. We went to the Field Museum and saw Sue, the world's largest, most complete and most famous T. Rex. The girls enjoyed digging dinosaur bones out of field jackets and playing the different instruments. From here we stopped by Grant Park to see the sculpture Agora. After naps we headed to Lincoln Park Zoo. On the way home we stopped for pizza. We went to the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company for dessert. David and I had a chocolate brownie sundae and Anna Claire had chocolate ice cream with sprinkles. It was great!

Chicago Day 2

This morning we got up to more rain, but that didn't stop us. We went to Yolk for brunch and had the best banana nut french toast ever! We also ate cheese and sausage omelet, potatoes, pancakes and fresh fruit. It was the best meal all weekend! After brunch we went to the Shedd Aquarium. On the way home we walked through Millennium Park for pictures with the Bean. We also stopped by Garrett's for some caramel and cheese popcorn! It was delicious! We ended the day with dinner at a Mexican restaurant.

Chicago

Friday night David met us at the airport. Our flight got in around 9:00pm and we headed for the metro. Anna Claire was excited for her first "train ride." The next morning we headed to the American Girl Store. It was a bit overwhelming. So many choices. Anna Claire decided on a red bathing suit for her doll, and Gracie got a Chicago t-shirt for hers. They could hardly wait to get home to change them. We had gyros for lunch and then stopped by the Hershey Factory for dessert!

Bendaroos!

Anna Claire has been asking for these things since before Christmas. When we were in Camden she played with them at Callyn's house, and came home telling Grandaddy about them. Well, not long later, we were on the computer ordering some for the girls! They finally came in this week and Anna Claire has loved them. Here is her latest project.

Oh yeah, our heater is fixed and it is 70 degrees outside!

More Snow!!!

Saturday night we came home to no heat! We packed up and have been at the Green's since. The girls think this is the greatest thing ever. While I do love have extra adults around I am ready to be back at home! Hopefully the heat will be fixed soon!

Sunday afternoon Anna Claire was talking to Gran who said they had snow. She asked Anna Claire if it was snowing here. Anna Claire said it already snowed here last month. Little did she know that Monday morning she would wake up to more snow! They were so excited and couldn't wait to get outside.

Camden Snapshots

So I am very behind on updating. Maybe over the next couple days I can catch up. Here are a few snapshots from our trip home a couple weeks ago.

Anna Claire

What a busy little girl! She is in school Tuesday and Thursday. On Wednesday she starts the day with playgroup, goes to ballet, tap and acro in the afternoon, and has started mission friends in the evening. She loves singing, dancing, swinging, reading, and dressing up. Her favorite television shows are Dora, Barney, and any Disney Princess. She loves playing with baby dolls. Her favorite games are Candy Land and Memory. She is beginning to be such a great helper. She likes to make her bed, set the table, fold some laundry, and put away dishes. She has the memory of an elephant. She doesn't forget anything, especially promises!

Gracie

This sweet little girl is trying her best to keep up with her big sister! She doesn't have quite as many activities on her calendar but we are working on that. She does have storytime on Tuesday mornings and playgroup on Wednesday mornings. She is starting to listen to us when we read a book, rather that just turn pages. She is pointing out her different body parts, but gets nose and toes mixed up, and thinks it is so funny. She also loves playing with baby dolls, and is really interested in tickling and kissing real babies. She is saying new things everyday. Just like her sister and daddy she loves music and dancing. Her favorite television shows are Dora and Barney. She loves shoes and tries to put on any she can find. She is also a big helper...She likes to take her diaper to the trash can along with other things. The thing she is most scared of is her shadow.
