The Boys!

Saturday evening and Sunday we spent time with my cousin and her boys. My girls had a blast bouncing on the trampoline, blowing bubbles, drawing with sidewalk chalk, and putting puzzles together. We can't wait to go again!

A-Day Surprise!

Saturday we went to Courtney's for an A-Day party. I knew there was going to be cake and a bounce house, so we were all excited! When I saw the cake, I was very surprised! Thank you Courtney!!!

Going to the Dentist!

This was Gracie's first time to go to the dentist! I was not allowed to go in the back with the girls, so I was a little worried, but they did great! They were able to go in the same room together for x-rays, teeth cleaning, and a check from the dentist. Anna Claire said Gracie just cried a little because she had never been before, but she had been before so she was not scared! They came out with smiles on their faces and new toothbrushes in their hands.

When I talked to the dentist, he said No Cavities! He also said Gracie seemed fine until he walked into the room, and she started crying. He said her mouth was open wide, so he saw everything he needed to see! I don't know what it is about her fear of men!

Fishing!

Gardening 101

Granddaddy, Anna Claire, and Gracie planted a small garden of tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, eggplants, and peppers this afternoon. Hopefully we will have lots of fresh vegetables to enjoy this summer!

Using the correct word...

Sometimes we use the wrong word in a sentence and we are trying to correct that. Often times we hear someone say mash the button, and we correct them saying by answering with, "We mash potatoes, but I will press the button." Anna Claire thinks this is so funny, and she has began correcting people also.

Last night while the girls were in the bath tub, Anna Claire said, "That is enough water, cut it off." Then I could tell she was thinking. She sat there for a minute, and then said, "Wait a minute, we don't cut the water off. I cut paper. I need to say turn the water off." I was blown away, and asked her who told her that one? I kept asking, "Did your dad tell you that, Did Mrs. Carol teach that in school, Did Kiki tell you that?" Anyone I could think of, I asked about. She said, "No, Mom I have just been thinking and we don't cut things off. That is not right. If we cut them, then they would be broken." I was so proud! She is so smart.

So look out, you better use the correct word around this little girl or she will set you straight! She definitely keeps me on my toes!
