My Little Princesses!

These little girls love to dress up! Everyday I dress them and in minutes they are up the stairs to change into dress-up clothes. The other day they even insisted on wearing them to the store. I didn't feel like a fight so I just gave in. To top it all off they found the children's buggies and pushed them around the store and into everything. They thought it was great!

Summer Fridays!

Friday night we started off the evening at The Carolina Inn for a picnic dinner with music. The girls danced and played. Then we went to see Up. This was Gracie's first movie at the theater. As long as there was popcorn in the bucket, they were perfectly content. At the end they decided they needed to stand and watch. They had a great time and can't wait to go see another movie!

This weekend my parents came to watch Anna Claire's dance recital. My mom brought cupcake pans and the girls loved them. Anna Claire's was a flower pot and Gracie's was a butterfly. They mixed the batter, spread the icing and sprinkled on the shapes!

After all that baking, they decided they needed a nap!
Sunday we enjoyed Anna Claire's recital. She did a great job!

Dance Pictures

Anna Claire is busy getting ready for recital. Sunday afternoon she will be dancing at The Carolina Theater! She is so excited to be dancing on the stage three times (ballet, tap, and acro).

Beauty and the Beast

This afternoon Anna Claire and I went to see the Carolina Ballet perform Beauty and the Beast.  It was a little different from the Disney version, so in Anna Claire's words..."It was confusable, I have never seen a monkey in the real movie."  We met Emma, her best friend from school, and had a great time!

On the way home Kim asked us to pick up some deodorant and here was our conversation after I got off the phone:

AC:  What is doedorant?

Me:  It is something adults wear under their arms so they do not stink.

AC:  Why do grown-ups wear it?

Me:  So we won't stink.

AC:  Oh, well you know why kids don't have to wear it?

Me:  Why not?

AC:  Because we take baths and the soap makes us smell good.  So kids do not have to wear it.

Me:  Really?

AC:  Well, I guess that is why, I think.

Fridays on the Front Porch!

On Fridays in the spring and summer the Carolina Inn has music and picnic style food on the front lawn.  We usually meet up with the derm residents and enjoy the outdoors before we go out to eat.  The girls dance and play!

The Vacation Must End!

Today was our last day on the beach.  We woke up to a beautiful, sunny day.  The girls played and wore themselves out for the drive home.  Anna Claire thought we had bought the condo, and couldn't understand why we had to come home.  We had a great relaxing vacation!

Rainy Days at the Beach

With a little cooler weather and some rain, we decide to play games and put together  a puzzle.  We also went out to eat at Sugar Creek.  (If anyone is headed to the outer banks, I recommend it!)  A great relaxing day with some great food!
