Chicago in May!

For Memorial Day weekend the girls and I drove to Chicago to visit David.  On Friday while he worked we played in Millennium Park.  It was a beautiful day for playing outside! The girls saw many people doing this and insisted they should pose for a picture too!

Birthday Party Surprise!

Last weekend, one of Anna Claire's friends from school had a birthday party.  The theme was princesses and there was to be a special guest!  All of the girls were so excited to see Cinderella and couldn't believe she came all the way from Disney World!  Cinderella helped the girls make crowns and wands, told them a story, and sang a song.  Everyone had a great time!

Last weekend Molly Graduated from highschool! We are so proud of her. She is planning to continue her education and become a nurse.

Preschool Program

This morning we enjoyed the preschool end of the year program. All the children practiced very hard and did a great job! I can't believe Anna Claire will be in kindergarten next year!!!

She lead the prayer by saying:
"Each morning and everyday;
we talk to God and this is what we say.

Now before I run to play,
Let me not forget to pray.
To God who kept me through the night,
And wake me with the morning light.
Help me Lord to love thee more
Than I ever loved before
In my work and in my play,
be thou with me through the day.
Amen."



Later in the program she said her lines perfectly!

"When I grow up, I'll be a nurse to help you when you are sick.
I'll be so nice to you and help you better quick!"

End of the Year Parties!

I can't believe we are already celebrating the end of a school year! The girls have both had great teachers and learned a lot, while having so much fun!

Anna Claire's party was at Bridgeport Park.
The children enjoyed the playground, a walk on the trail, and a picnic lunch!

Gracie pretended to be a big kid today. Anna Claire was so excited that she came to her party!

Saturday we went to Taylor's first birthday! We had fun playing outside and eating cupcakes!

Picnic in the Park

Friday afternoon we took a picnic out to the park and played on the playground. Anna Claire was our tour guide as we took a hike on the trail. We were searching for rocks! After the hike, we cooled our toes off in the water. We had a great afternoon in the sun!

A Windy Sunday Afternoon

Last Sunday it was very windy, so Granddaddy took the girls to get a kite. They had fun running around trying to get the kites up, but it must have been too windy. They just couldn't manage to fly them.
