This morning we were up bright and early for Gracie's tympanostomy (ear tube placement). After fighting constant ear infections since November, we decided it would be best. She did a great job! She didn't cry until she saw me coming into recovery to get her, and as soon as I picked her up she was fine. She was a little droopy for about an hour afterwards, but played hard all afternoon! She even managed to throw my cell phone in the garbage can without me knowing. When I went looking for it, she went over to the trash can, opened it, and pointed inside saying look, look!

A stuffed animal makes everything better!

its amazing how stuffed animals do make everything better. My dad picked out a soft elephant for me this first hospital visit for all my surgery stuff. I named it Effie & to be honest it has stayed with through it all & still stays with me. Some things some of us never outgrow. Love her polka dot elephant!
